Two Wall Definitions, .. one with Stucco A, the other with Stucco B, ..

Shouldn't I be able to apply different textures to one without the other changing to the same texture, ..

..are these not 'different' surfaces?

What am I missing here? (if it's something that's painfully obvious, then I'll confess to my stupidity)

Yes, you really should ... they SHOULD be different surfaces.

Just verify that the walls on plan are really different walls. I've created a custom wall definition from an existing wall before, and then forgotten to change the wall to the new definition.

Firstly, .. I'll acknowledge my typo in the Topic Heading, .. STUCCO 'A', ..

now, .. things seemed to have resolved themselves, .. for some reason (known only in the mind of the software, my wall in question was touching the other wall type

(which in and of itself, should make no difference in matters), .. that being said, .. apparently this afternoon Softplan did not like that, ..

I adjusted the wall away from the other, .. made the texture change, which worked, and extended the wall back to intersect with the other, .. retaining the desired result of two textures, ..

go figure.
