okay so we see the coming attractions of 2018+, now how long until we start getting the update notifications for existing users?  I would guess that they were selling the new version at the Builders show.

A little birdie told me.....Do not look for any releases until mid to late March.

There were a number of "tweaks" that needed to be implemented before releasing.

Thats been pretty typical since I started on V13.  Unveiled at IBS then available for upgrade in march/april.  I'm not holding my breath for any earlier release.

I won't be either.

I have noticed though, that the site says:

"A list of 2018 detailed features will be posted here over the coming days and weeks.  They will not appear is any order. SoftPlan is always looking for new ideas from our users.  If you have something you would like considered for a future release please let us know here."

And already has a teaser for the new area commands ... http://softplan.com/?page_id=4054

I second Yvon's request for unlimited and nameable information stamps. As much as I love the Plan Sets capability this would be invaluable to our workflow.

Not seing much about railings yet. Nothing on the site and the only reference in the info supplied by Brian is "Railing/newel post intersection improved". It would be extremely sad if that's the only improvement!

At the minimum, we need to be able to use posts and spindles that are created in profiles (ex. square sections of different sizes) and be able to have spindles of different sizes within the same railing.

I have to admit, I'm VERY disappointed in the "improvements" made to the staircases. Although you can move the section line, I absolutely REFUSE to have that awful ugly section line on ANY of my drawings, so I'll continue using the HIDE EVERYTHING on PLAN and draw my own components to do stairs.

AND

while I'm on about section lines, I have turned off STANDARD section lines because (again) I don't like the way they display. However, every time I touch ANYTHING in a plan set, I get the message SECTION LINES are turned off ... Do you want to turn them on? ...

NO, NO, NO, NO ... I DON'T ... THAT'S WHY I TURNED THEM OFF! ------ Okay, I'll be calmer in a minute ...
