I am sure I should know this, but I don't.  I use 13.4 that has 3 wall types listed in the topic title.  I use Standard primarily, but I do have a large remodel drawing to do and would like to try the Remodel wall type.  Can I switch back and forth from wall types  ....Standard for new work, Remodel for remodeling and Extended for ? without any bad stuff happening?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

You can switch between the three types with no problems that I'm aware of, except if I define a new wall, I have to remember which list I created the wall in.

NO .... You can't switch easily ... BEWARE.

If you switch the wall types, SOFTPLAN will reload the wall list from the as shipped defaults. IF you have done ANY customization of the as shipped list you will lose it.

My mistake Keith,

I read it as he wanted to switch between the three lists. I confused it with editing and importing/exporting wall definitions. Sorry

Sure would be useful when doing a Reset to System or changing wall list that Softplan would recognize walls by their names and not screw up everything because walls are not in the same order or position in the list.

Now I have to admit here, because my wall list is COMPLETELY customized, that I haven't tried changing wall lists for years. It is possible that SOFTPLAN now remembers customization, but I wouldn't bet on it!

It would be nice if someone could confirm this.
