I think we ought to be able to work more with how trim looks and how it interacts with an opening. There ought to be improvement for sills to be edited on an individual opening basis, for trim to be placed so it partially covers a jamb like it would in real life, for inside of windows and doors to have different colors than outside (all parts, not just the frame). There are so many improvements in this version, but it still falls short of a lot of the competition.

Is anyone having trouble with trim showing wrong like the attached picture? How about how siding looks when the bottom of a wall steps down along a foundation?

We ought to be able to select a texture and at least set the offset and any angle like we can with paint. We also ought to be able to set the start point and adjust the skew and scale of a texture if desired while editing it. I know we can change the scale with the edit menu by entering different height and width values, but it would be much more friendly in some situations to be able to drag to scale it in reference to something on a surface rather than guess at the proper size in the edit menu.

Tech says the door trim is messed up because the door is offset more than 20" off the bottom of the wall. They are working on a solution.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. If the door exceeds an offset of 20" (in this case) the frame is generating too wide. This likely has to do with the amount of the door exposed. I artificially made the wall taller using a none material and the door appeared fine. I will pass this along to development on your behalf.

Thanks Mark. I also logged a suggestion to allow the positioning and scaling of textures. The ability would help with floor to floor transitions, wall to gable end transitions and stepped walls.

It's a very involved request but the suggestion has been added.CO-47417
