Deck Stair ?'s

Why doesn't the entire stair show up in the elevation view? It's comprised of a foldback with straight stair off it...only the straight stair shows
I tried to cut block the corner section of the deck to extend it out to the stair, I thought we could do that. I even tried to break it in two locations but I still couldn't adjust that section. I know I can redraw the deck, but I thought we could modify it.
At some point I tried recessing the stairs into the deck, I tried framed opening and deck block but the rim joist didn't break. How do you open that up?
Lastly, is the online 2016 manual the "help/life preserver" button or is there an actual reference manual that I haven't found yet?

There is a tool to add sections to a polygon. Can't remember what it's called and I'm not at a Softplan machine, but it will allow you to quickly reshape the deck. I'm pretty sure it's on the edit menu.

AJ, Are the stair assemblies all deck stairs or regular stairs? If both have been used to create the stair assembly
be sure both types of stairs are activated in the 3D extraction options and that the visibilities are turned on in the
drawing options visibility .

AJ, Try adding another deck section at the top of the stairs. The deck sections should snap to each
other to create the plan view you are trying to achieve.
You don't need to add another deck you definitely can edit the deck polygon .... I've done it many times. Unless they removed that command from 2016.
As I said, I think it's on the edit menu ... may say insert polygon edge or something like that. Yes, that's it "Insert Polygon Edge"

Good question, I think they're all deck stairs...I didn't know there was a difference.

AJ, There was a small, 200 page, manual that came with V2016. Most of the help is in the help icon within the program along with tech support.
I have the small manual, I was looking for one of those 600 or 800 page manuals with illustrations like I had with v10 and v12. From what I see so far "help" is all text, I'm a more visual kinda guy.
