Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the default setting when selecting the version of AutoCAD for exporting files to .dwg?  I would love it if I didn't need to click to switch from the default AutoCAD 2013 to an older version every time I export.

Thanks!

I asked tech support this a version or two ago.  Not possible was the answer.  I have one engineer still using acad 2000...its tough to remember to export every file in that format each time

Dang,

Not the answer I was hoping for.  I appreciate the response though.

Thanks!

I open exported dwgs in Draftsight (free Autocad clone) to check and zoom to extents- seems to zoom way in for some reason. I have Draftsight set to save in R14- so Softplan's export file doesn't matter.

Seems easier just to change the Autocad version in the dropdown, rather than re-exporting from another program ...

Just as an aside, NANOCAD 5.0 is free, and as far as I'm concerned it works exactly the same as Autocad (maybe earlier versions, as I haven't owned Autocad since 2000i).

All is good except that most times we are converting to send to engineers or other vendors.
