Hello all,

I'm a new user, my company is in the process of moving from AutoCAD to Softplan and in the process of figuring it all out I'm getting stuck with roofs. The particular instance I've hit a road block with are shed roof dormers, for instance if I have a loft above a garage (as in this case) or above the main floor. It's something we do a lot of in our area and being able to make this work is crucial. Any help would be appreciated. I've attached an image for reference.

Also, how would I be able to see the upper floor area and what I have to work with?

If you have a loft, you should draw a second floor for the loft. Your windows in the gable end would be in the walls of the second floor (loft).

You may also find that you have to draw a separate HIDDEN (and NOT EXTRACTED IN MODEL) wall Parallel to the main and on the same plane. For the second roof to reference too, in some instances. Softplan doesn't like referencing two roofs to the same wall.
