Good Morning,

Is there a way to have slabs show control joints?

Thanks,

Dave

You could always draw separate slabs and adjust the gaps between them. but there's no way to add control joints to the slabs.

You could also draw them as black solids, and have them 1/64" above the slab level.

I just draw them on a separate layer as heavier lines.

They can be turned on or off as needed.

I was assuming that they needed to show in the 3D ... maybe I was wrong (AGAIN) ...

did not consider the 3D view, but if you need them to show up, then you could do the same thing, just draw "solid - cubes" instead of lines and then they would show in 3D.

Thanks, Guys.  In this instance I just need them on the plan view.  It would be nice to be able to set a max slab size without joints and have the software place them if over that limit.  Maybe next release...

I could see it being useful in 3D especially when doing framing models.  However they would need to be editable so that they could be moved.  If you are using finished concrete floors you will want them in certain locations.  Looks like it would be a good upgrade for the flooring system along with footings
