My post today reminded me again of this question.  Where does the time stamp on posts come from.  My computer has the correct date and time but whenever I post it is off by 5hrs?  Can't help to wonder it is just my anal self.

Check your personal settings in the forum. You set your time zone there. Click on your name at the top right of the screen and go to "my settings".

You'll probably find it's set at the default of GMT which is 5 hours in front of Michigan.

You are right I have Eastern time ck but the time is 5 hrs off??  Don't see how to change that.

Just figured it out,  I had made the correct change to the time zone but did not scroll to the bottom to save them,  excuse this 70 year old brain.
