I did the Patch update today and I am working on a project which I cannot snap to certain things on the overlay. Like stairs for example. Is this just me or part of the patch. I thought that I could do it on 2016 before. I use overlay a lot.

Almost seems like your zoom level plays a part in snap grabbing with the overlay.

Just to verify .... 2014 snaps to all 4 corners and the centres of top, bottom and each side of the stair overlay. Don't see any reason why 2016 doesn't do the same.

Align to edge isn't working properly with overlays either.  I submitted a ticket for both items.

Yup, I also noticed that snapping to overlay lines is now inconsistent. Funny how little things you are so used to can slow you down when they don't function as properly..

Extremely frustrating.  I sent a support a message on this and here is what I got back.  I had another issue with walls automatically raking when I used edit repeat to change a height on walls.  So they know about it and are working on it.

"Development is currently working on a solution. Meantime, an edit of the wall to the correct height will need to be done. Can also use the Edit > Set Wall Height command rather than an Edit and Repeat Edit to change wall heights. Development is also working on a solution to allow Snap on overlay lines."

Sorry for being a bit late to the party - but your conversation caught my eye. It is reassuring to know that the overlay snap is a bit intermittent, as I too run into this issue.

What I'm curious about, though, is whether or not you folks are having any issues with the perpendicular snap? I've noticed that while adjusting a wall, for example, the cursor will snap to one corner of the wall's end. Then, if I line up for a perpendicular snap, that particular corner will snap directly to the center of the wall's perpendicular location... resulting in a skewed wall and a disturbing lack of 90 degree angles! Perhaps this is a settings issue?

That was an issue in 2014 too. It's not new.

Soren - Agreed, it has always been an issue for me.  I have suggested a couple of versions in the past that the issue be fixed.  I suppose to some extent I have gotten used to it, but it really needs fixed.  The only way around is to turn the wall joins to zero and then use the extend command to extend the wall together.

Well, with any luck, this most recent update will resolve some issues... downloading at the moment.
