Ok, what's the best way to do a walkout basement? I tried doing auto-basement and changing the concrete walls to framed, but then there are no footings below the framed walls? I'm sure there's a better way to do it?

Here is the way I do it. Create a wall definition that contains the frost wall.

I sometimes create a floor level below the basement called foundation and add it to the model stack.

I do the same as Keith, mostly due to walls not connecting properly when i buildup so much stuff in a wall profile.  (this was a few versions ago so maybe things have gotten better) (Plus better control of what i want hidden and shown on lower levels).

It is better then it use to be. Also, the addition of wall transition in 2018 has been a game changer for the side walls of walk-outs.

.I'm with Yvon. Transition walls make multiple height daylight walls a breeze. You only need to define one wall  and then just edit the overall height and the transition height to get the steps in your daylight walls.

Know, if they can allow an opening to be put over a transition, that will be another huge step and improvement.

I do the same as Joseph and Keith. I also like that I can add only my foundation to the model and see that in 3D separate from everything else. Helps a lot with dialing in foundation steps.
