How do I get the second floor solid brick walls to extend over the floor system?

I drew a plate below the bottom of the 2nd floor walls thinking the floor would snap to the plate, and then the walls would extend down as they do in wood framing.

Any suggestions?

Is there a subfloor under the upper floor?  That's what causes the exterior to cover the framing.

I spoke to tech support, changed the bearing to the inside wythe of brick, it cleaned up on one side, but not the other? Of course I didn't discover that it was only cleaning up one side until after i got of the phone! OY!

I don't know what I did, but the other sude cleaned up. Perhaps there was a delay in cleaning up?

I think what might be happening is the rim/plate/subfloor is not lining up with the edge of your bearing component in your wall assembly. If they don't line up in a standard wood/masonry wall the exterior finish will not "cover floor" when cleaned up. Could you put up a screen capture of the wall definition?

Check the walls that have the floor system on the outside, make sure the 'Exterior' side is the correct side. Also, in floor system mode, check to see where the edge of the floor system lines up with the edge of your bearing wythe. It could be that the edge of the floor system is just outside the cleanup tolerance.

You could also try edit the wall and PERFORM ITEM CLEANUP on the COMMON tab.
