How can I develop a softlist report to include the items that are to be demo on an existing project...i.e. a kitchen remodel that includes demolishing existing walls, floor surfaces, cabinets, doors, plumbing fixtures etc?

Thanks again

Buddy

I am doing a project where I have the same.  I put all the demo on a separate building option.  Then I can turn them on and off accordingly.  I generate my report seperately.

However I am not sure what you are looking for in Softlist?  Do you need a price for each piece removed or just to list it?  We use a simple area calc. price for ours.

I found an easy work around for my needs....this is for a large commercial project were a simple SF cost is not adequate....will develop the drawings using Building options and then print the demo Dwgs to a PDF, load that PDF into my on screen takeoff software and then develop the necessary Work breakdown structure, crews, items and productivity for the Labor etc in Timberline Estimating which I use on commercial projects....the Softplan estimating module is too simplistic for the needs of a commercial project, but the Building Options works ok

I hear you Buddy.  Everything is more complicated in commercial. :-)
