Is there a way to do an exterior elevation at an angle?

In the attached project the piece at the left with the windows above the door is the indoor pool. In my drawing the centre part of the house is straight and the pool at the left and the garage at the right are angled.

My engineer is requesting elevations showing the end walls of the pool so that he can do the structural designing for those walls.

If I just do the default front and rear elevation views those angled walls will be distorted.

I thought of generating a framing view, but this is a composite wall and not with standard framing, so the way I defined it, it is not showing up on the drawing if I generate a framing plan.Attached File  Front View.jpg   102.46KB   0 downloads

Verlin

I have done this a few times. I make a copy of the drawings required to make a new model. I rotate all the drawings in the model, say at a 45 degree angle if that is the angle the wings are at. They place the drawings in a new model. Now you will have the elevations looking straight on. If i understand your question correctly.

Could you use a  cross section at an angle?

A cross section at an angle with background extracted is definitely one way to do it. Rotating the drawings is another.

Thank you. I can see either way working, but think that the cross section with the background extracted would be the simplest way to do it. If I need it as viewed from the exterior I am thinking I could reverse it or mirror it once I have saved it.

You can place the section line on the exterior and face the wall. Make sure to extend out far enough to get the full width of the building and its overhangs.

I also use the section line close to the building sometime when the grade goes up and will hide part of the house or basement windows with the standard elevations

Attached File  Elevation Question.jpg   45.09KB   0 downloadsWhile we are on the topic of elevations, I have another question that is similar to the original one I posted on this thread. In the first question I was looking for help to create an elevation for one angled wall. My next question is, what is the proper or best way to do a complete elevation when part of the house is at an angle. The attached image is the front elevation in textured mode saved as an image.

I do it the way you have it shown Verlin unless there are specific details that are hidden or need to be shown straight on, then you can do a partial elevation with the cross section of that part of the elevation.
