Hello,

I am a new user to SoftPlan, and like the software so far. I do have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers to anywhere (this is also after a few hours of perusing the system settings and trying out different options).

1) Is there a system setting that allows me to choose a "width factor" for my fonts? I have a preference for using RomanS as my font, but I would like to set the width factor to 0.7 or 70% (it just fits better on the drawings and is still legible).

2) Am I able to change the default location where the leader attaches to the text for Pointer Text? The default is the top line of the text, but I would like it moved to the centre of the text by default.

3) Can I have the text change justification automatically when I reverse a drawing? Currently, if the justification is set to "Left" and I reverse the drawing, the justification stays "Left" after the reverse, but I would like it to change to "Right" when I reverse.

If there are already answers to these questions I apologize, I just can't seem to find the answers no matter what search parameters I set. I really appreciate any help anyone can give me.

My SoftPlan version is 2018.

1.  I haven't found a way to do width modifications to text, but that would be a great feature.  I too prefer narrowed text and 70% is about right.

If you also use another version of cad,  you could set the text the way you like it and create a drawing that is just one occurrence of each letter.  Then print that as a pdf.  There is a website that you up load the pdf and they will return you a text set that you can then use in SP.  That is what I did to get my favorite font that I used in Autocad to work in SP.

Since you can't actually do that with Softplan, consider using a standard windows font ... in this case something like CALIBRI LIGHT ... which will give very close to the same look.

The simple answers to your questions are NO, NO and NO, although there are workarounds for the first two.

As I said above you can use a similar windows font for item one.

For item 2 you can use an arrow instead of a pointer. I've never actually used a pointer for that very reason. I find the arrows (especially segmented or spline arrows) are much more flexible.

Spline pointers are sometime interesting but a mess when you reverse a plan
