We use a lot of Marvin products in our designs and would love to see their Door line-up be in the system, is there any one else that has interest in having these units available?

Keith, they were asking about Marvin doors; my Marvin section only has double-hung windows, unless I missed an update

I agree adding Marvin doors would be quite helpful, along with Integrity.

Keith, the libraries that come with SP only offer a small percentage of what Marvin sells.  Not only are the doors missing, but several types of windows as well: Tilt Turn, Double hung Magnum, Push-out Casement, ect.  Marvin's website has downloadable SoftPlan openings libraries, but they are only slightly better than the standard SP library.

If what you are looking for is not in the built-in library, you can also download all of the Marvin products for Softplan from their website.

Go to Marvin.com

In the upper right portion of the screen click on 'For Professionals'

Click 'Drawing and 3D Models'

In the 'Resource Type' box on the left side of the screen select 'Softplan' from the drop down box

On their site right now and they do not have the door library for softplan- only the windows

Need a full procedure to add 3rd party opening libraries of manufacturers like Marvin, Kolby&Kolby, Anderson and others.  There does appear to be gaps in the Softplan opening data.  This would be a beneficial class for the Fundamental Friday series.

Since MARVIN obviously have a huge SOFTPLAN specific library, it does seem like rather a no brainer for somone from SOFTPLAN to talk to MARVIN and say "Do you mind if we incorporate ALL your Softplan drawings into our program ... thank you" and do so.

It seems to me, that it's a WIN WIN ... Marvin obviously want the greater exposure, they will never refuse that request from Softplan, and Softplan get another manufacturer library.
