Brian, Strucalc, which we purchased before the subscription era, has a load tracking tool that
automatically updates and recalculates all the loads in the chain from roof to footing whenever
a member in the chain is changed. Unfortunately this is now only available through subscription for new users.

Forte also has the load tracking but when I look at the TrusJoist Javelin software it almost looks like it automatically traces loads from a 3d model. Which imagine if SoftPlan could export this type of information how much easier sizing would become. Now as a disclaimer I have never used Javelin just going by what I have seen in demo and online.

Yes I know. I have spoken with reps from SoftPlan who said that TrusJoist just gives them the protocols for export. And then I speak with TrusJoist and they have no idea about importing it. So I have never really gotten anywhere talking to them about it but never had a copy of Javelin myself to play with.
