Always wondered why when drawing a balcony with typical 2" x 2" spindles and 2" x 6" handrails and generating the line elevations, the top and bottom of the spindles remain open (no lines). It causes in some cases the siding paint or others to enter the spindles and sometime the balcony.

I've noticed that too. Railings never seen to completely build on the elevations. There's always missing pieces somewhere.
