 How do I change the setting for adding watermarks to prints? I run far more prints without some sort of watermark than with.  Unless I remember to "uncheck" the box when running prints, I end up wasting the first copy or run (if I don't catch it! The plotter is in another room) because the default menu for printing has the watermark box checked.  Since I am old and forgetful, I never seem to remember to uncheck the box and, therefore, would like the box UNCHECKED as the default setting.  I've looked everywhere I can think of to do this, but I have been unsuccessful. 

 

(By the way, I am not a "Newbie" and have been using Softplan for many, many years/versions, but haven't yet taken time to figure out how to revert to "old" settings.)

Do you print your SoftPlan drawings to pdf? If so, then perhaps when you create your pdf you could append the name of the file with something like" WM" Example "1st Floor_WM". Then when you go to print you would know by the file name if the pdf has the watermark on it. If you are not printing to pdf, you might want to incorporate it into your routine. I probably email as many drawing as I print. By printing to pdf, you create a file that can be used both for plotting and for emailing. Finally the pdf creates a snapshot of the drawing at various stages of the design.

Do you use plan sets? If you right click and edit a plan set, there is a place to mess with watermarks. The setting is sticky, so if you uncheck it, it stays unchecked (and vice versa). My suggestion to you is to ALWAYS export/print to PDF and ALWAYS verify that what you are plotting is correct. This bit of diligence into your routine will save you time and money.
