So, just edit your elevation to 1/4" scale and re-position if needed? You can always use "paint break" or "shade break" lines as guides to snap to if needed. Or, place lines that you have on a layer you turn off before printing or set not to print. Lots of options depending on how you are doing your plan sets. I think templates are still faster than starting from scratch if you do a lot of the same drawings.

The whole point was a standard scale so I don't HAVE to edit every single one every single time..........

Is the second house larger than the house used to create the template?

If it's smaller, incuding the dimensions and extensions, please create a ticket so support can try to diagnose what is going on.

In the part of the world I work in most builders attempt to get their plans on to 11"x17" pages so that they can print them on their photo copiers.  This means that the vast majority of plans are created at 3/16" = 1'-0" scale so I find that the automatic jump back that Softplan has to 1/4" = 1'-0" scale is extremely annoying!!

It shouldn't jump to 1/4" = 1'-0" if it doesn't fit on the page.

The point I was making was that even if 1/4" does fit on the page Softplan shouldn't change the scale.

A house with a larger main floor may have a small second plan and they should both plot at the same scale if possible.
