Life isn't always at 90 degree angles.    Hopefully there is a simple answer to this.

I commonly have projects that have odd angles to  them.  Attached is pic of an addition where I am tying two existing buildings into each other.  Is there a way I can generate face-on exterior elevations for the portions that are not at 90 degrees.  For this project I rotated a separate set of plans to get them right on.  But of course as the project progresses there have been many changes.   This building is also two stories.  Please tell me there is a simpler way.

Thank you much,

You should be able to draw a section line outside the building parallel to the wall and generate an elevation that way.

Once you generate the elevation, click on the Camera menu item and then Look At Surface, click on the a wall surface that is on the angle. Use the wheel on the mouse to scroll back and get as much of the building in the view that you want and save the elevation.

Don's method is exactly how I do it...Right now I have a master suite addition that is between the toe of a mountain and a septic lateral field and is at 105 deg angle from the existing and I use Don's method to get the elevation drawings I need....works great...

I've used the section line method in the past, but must admit I hadn't thought about changing the angle of a generated "live" elevation with the LOOK AT SURFACE command, although I have used it extensively on the model to align VIEWS.

Excellent tip. Thank you Don.

That works perfectly!  Thanks Don.  You saved me a lot of work in the future.
