Jon - one other tip I would advise while experimenting with you rendering settings, is to save them out as a unique ".mro" files until you settle on your own style you want to use as your standard. Have learned (forgotten) too many times to do this while tweaking, only to have to go back and readjust my settings over (and over) again. Once you have that you can replace the default "3d.mro" file in your main folder = SoftPlan\3D\3D Render Options\Default
Hope this helps.

Here is a link to a thread where we discussed making your own quality siding textures.

If you go to SP Plus, the $45/month will always keep you up to date, so you don't have any more large outlays of cash for the upgrades. Plus, you get a lot more symbols to work with, cloud features, quicker support response, etc. It's a no brainer to me and much easier to budget.

How do I save the MRO? I am sure it is in front of my face somewhere

On the next job do the same step and Load the MRO and all the settings in your Rendering mode work adjust instantly.
You can also save different/multiple MRO’s depending on your/builders desires and use it over and over.
Softplan has got this perk right!
