On the start menu when you first open up Softplan+ it gives a list all files that you worked on adn if they are loaded to the cloud or not.  I am getting duplicate showings of some files (perhaps because I also sync whth a server and not just my hard drive)

 

My questinos is-is there a way to delete some fo the files that show on the screen so that I dont get them mixed up?  All I see when I right click is to delete them off the cloud.

^{I have been creating a lot of "training" projects while I learn how to setup and use the software. I just delete the local files from the "projects" directory located in the "Softplan" folder on the root directory of your PC. (unless you changed the location of these files in the setup menu) I haven't figured out how to delete the file located on the Cloud server yet.}

For Windows 8: In your Windows System Apps there is  an app called 'Run'.  Click it and type in 'regedit'.  On your computer navigate to "Softplan Systems, Inc." / "Softplan" and then down to the latest patch. Open the 'Recent File List" folder.  Delete everything except the (Default).  Softplan should be closed while you are doing this.  DO NOT DELETE THE DEFAULT FILE!!  I have been told this can cause some serious problems.  When you open softplan the next time there not be any jobs listed.  Proceed at your own risk!!

Found everything you were talking abotu Dennis and did it but they are still all showing.  I wonder if it is becuase i save to a server at work and not neccesarilly to my hard drive.

What you may be seeing is a link to the job that is in the cloud.  I have added folders to my project folder for Truss Details, Energy Calcs, etc. and since these folders don't transfer to the cloud then I have just turned off the upload to cloud function.  My projects are stored on dropbox since I can have all folders available there.  Sorry this didn't work for you Tom.

I might need to try that too. I utilize an outside drafter and we share files back and forth but they get a bit messed up. Hence why I thought it might be old files on the start menu. I currently work off a server. He works off hard drive and cloud. I upload off server to cloud. I have also started working remotely. I have had to download files to work offline as if I did not they woudl be saved locally and end up have duplicates. I little end around [didnt know if people have similar issues but other fixes]

Cloud uploads for V2016 have been very slow the past few weeks.  Might be on my end.......might not.  I've not reset my modem & router lately so that's next on my list.  Anyone noticing slow uploads?
