Jerry,

Have you tried just adding point lights to rooms you want to light? You can control the position, height and direction of the light effect. You are not limited to the setting of 20 for brightness, if you enter say 35 it will display the brighter value until you edit the light again when it will revert to a setting of 20. Turn off decay will restrict the light to interior of the room.

Probably not quiet the same as your example but so easy to achieve in SoftPlan.

This is one I started a couple of years ago but didn’t take it any further. I finished it in daylight at the client's request. Add lots of interior lighting turned way up (200+). Lots of exterior fixtures and groumd lighting. Turn ambient lighting and sun way down.
