Softplan developers, terminology including the word "Master" is heavily frowned upon.  You may consider replacing "master" with Primary.  Just a heads up for future releases.  Maybe you already caught word.      Primary Bedroom, Primary Suite, Primary WIC, etc etc.   Ive been told by 3 builders today to forget the word master.

I think we ought to go back to Bed 1, Bed 2, Bed 3. Primary sounds odd to me.

I've heard the rumors, but never had any owner or builder tell me to make the change yet.

This is the very first I have heard that, after a few minutes, I got why.  Really?  We are getting over the top in political correctness.

I will still use Master Bedroom. They can take the political correctness and stick it where the sun does not shine.

Its' very real. Not a big deal for me to change from Master to Primary. I'm an old dog but I can learn new tricks.

I have not had any problems calling it "Master" but I'm happy to call it whatever the person writing the check wants it called.

With the ability to create/edit room names the way you want them I don't see why SP would need to make any changes.

I have been using "Owner's Suite" & "Owner's Spa" for years.  I did it in an effort to make my plan a little bit different than everyone else.  As far as being politically correct, I agree with Warren 110%!

So higher education should change that too, get you Primary in Business Admin? What about a Primary Electricians license or a Primary carpenter? I don't agree with it. Too many people bringing feelings  into inanimate objects.

Just because a word has one connotation in one culture doesn't mean everyone needs to change to suit them.

This is definitively a non-issue.

In this case the word 'master' is being used as an adjective - not a noun.

The definition is then 'principal' 'primary' or 'main'.

No need to be frowned upon or subject to political correctness.

Sounds like someone needs to get a life, if that's all they have to worry about.
