on my last update going to 2022-2.6, my Softalk Module disappeared and I cant use it. And I saw on the install site on 04-29-21 that there was ver. 2022-2.7. and i downloaded it... so i was thinking of removing my current verson 2022-2.6 and installing the 2022-2.7 just to get softalk back. Today (05-03-2020) on the install site the 2022-2.7 is no longer there.

has anyone updated to 2022-2.7? and is it working with Softalk?

By the way, I have had some issues with My Computer not updating Softalk correctly because it is a work computer that locks down a some install items. (company computer, and computer policy blocks some install items)

A flaw was discovered in the 2.7 update so they may have stopped it's availability to allow time for them to fix the issue.

You do not have to unistall 2020. It may make sense to rename the 2020 program folders though if you want to keep both versions (assuming you haven't already installed 2022). Also, the patches are now patches that will update the current version of 2022 you have, so no need to uninstall that either.
