I was working on a railing to fit some stairs on an exterior deck, and as I tried to edit them I realized there are way less customization option in 2022 compared to 2020. I cannot find how to edit the different end heights and locations, and the rail itself does not seem to be connected to the posts like it was in 2020. Does anyone know if these options have just been moved somewhere? I am hoping so, because the options from 2020 are extremely useful and it would seem like a not so great idea to remove them in the new version. I've attached and image to show what I mean; the left screen is 2020 and the right screen is 2022. There are tabs missing from the 2022 railing edit menu that had the options I am looking for.

David, You now click directly on the post to edit its properties.  This way you don't have to guess (when in 3d)  at which posts properties apply to which post.

If you don't have a post you can right click on the rail end and select Add railing post.
You should have a few more useful post options in this version such as the ability to set the top to where defined in the rail definition or set the top to be under the hand rail.

In the rail edit dialog (on a deck) you also have the ability to set the position to "Outside of Ring Joist" which should adjust the posts position and set the bottoms for you.

I noticed this was way different as well, but figured most of it out after some messing around - but can you slope or adjust height of the mid posts separately? My mid posts seem to adjust together, which levels the rail section between them.

Mid posts or Intermediate posts have a similar type of control as they did in 2020 in that they are controlled as a group.  You edit one of them directly to get to the properties for the group.

"the rail itself does not seem to be connected to the posts"

In 2022 we now use what a railing edge is referencing as the surface for the railing, instead of using the bottom of the posts as the surface location.  This makes it easier to mount your posts to the outside/inside of a ring joist.
