Is this an error, or is there a reason for it being removed?

Right click regenerate has been removed for all schedules. Drives me insane because I am constantly regenerating schedules and removing right click regenerate only causes extra work.

Just hit cleanup, that will update the schedule.

Unfortunately, nope. Cleanup does clean some things up in schedules but only a Regenerate will take care of all items in the schedule. Regenerate is essential and I never send out a drawing without regenerating all schedules. If cleanup could regenerate a schedule there would be no need to have the Regenerate button in the schedule properties.

The schedules now stay up to date live. Regenerate didn't do anything because of the live update technology. The regenerate button on the edit dialog is for regenerating if you change the options of the schedule.
If you have a case where the live update isn't working properly and gives the wrong answer we would very much like to analyze it so that we could fix the problem if there is one.

Hey Brent. There are numerous cases I can cite but can't demonstrate because they are not apparent until I do a regenerate. For example, adding items to the drawing and even though they may show up in the schedule they are not sorted properly. A regenerate properly sorts the items. Copying items from one drawing to another, or perhaps it is merging drawings, will often not show the added items until a regenerate. Renumbering ceiling joists requires a regenerate to show the changes in the schedule. See the attachment. A cleanup did not resort the joists. I always regenerate to be absolutely sure that the schedules are correct. Always. And removing the right click regenerate only makes this process more difficult.

The latest patch broke sorting for ceiling framing schedules completely. Even a regenerate will not sort correctly any more.

The latest patch added in "Reset to default sort order" which appears to clean up the sort order for schedules.
