Why are my walls showing up grey? I don't have my layer set set to grey or faded.

check your wall def. make sure this circled item says 'none'

In your layers uncheck "Use Item(s) Color" for the layer that you're using.
That will set everything to that layers set colour which is probably worse. I think we need fix the original problem.
