Hi all

Attached is a door section with Victorian moulding, what is the best way to make the section shaded?

Paint solid was used however it does not go to the edges as intended and likewise any hatching looks similar.

Any suggestions please?

Closed polygon seems to do the trick, sadly you'll have to trace your profile with a polygon, may take awhile.

trace with polygon then edit the polygon and make it solid

you're lucky, the previous release wouldn't do this with a polygon

You can select the door section and Edit>Form Polygon to save some time.

Yes, but painting small sections is almost impossible to get clean. The paint algorithm doesn't do a good job. I believe it's been improved in 2022.
