When creating a custom crown molding and saving it under crown molding, it appears when you use profiles but not in interior mode. So if you want to install a custom crown molding in a room, you can't do it in interior mode which is the simplest to use in this case. You have to use profiles and spin around the room to do so.

I'm I missing something or there's a way?

Go to system options>Finishing options>Crown molding options then replace one of the generic ones "Crown molding 20 etc." with your own custom name and custom profile and it will show up for you when in interior mode.

which brings up a good point.

I wonder if softplan tech can make it so we don't have to

go thru the routine of creating the crown profile

and than having to go into finishing options to

get it into the library.

should be done in one swell swoop like other profiles are.

Agreed Randy I wish they could do a similar thing with windows and be able to access the window library for editing right from the window edit dialogue box just  like you can do with walls defs.

I'll second that one. It's 9 clicks by my count to get to the "Edit Symbol" in the "Configure Library"

Ya that's way too many clicks, especially if you are playing around with different custom window configurations, makes it very cumbersome.  I'm pretty sure I've put the suggestion into SP but nothing has come of it.  Could be the programming is too complicated but if others suggest maybe it might get looked at again.  Thanks.
