Well that explains it! I have not opened SP in a while, so when I saw it on my bank statement, I was a bit shocked. I did not remember seeing an email or any posts about the increase.

Looks like we will have to add another $10 to our bill to our customers.

When I can right click to align or center with wall above or below AND I can show stairs above or below with a right click then you can add the $10 a month (and, of course, the connection with the APA wall bracing). Oh.....almost forgot. Add the dead load weight to wall items, use the area code of each user for live load requirements and then calculate loads through the structure - then you can add the $10! And, of course, generate the beam, post and pier sizing obviously. Then, go ahead and add the $10.

I can understand if you are using SP+ everyday that the monthly fee is affordable but I am starting to enter semi retirement , so I am only active in spirts. I have been using SP13 forever, and was way too busy to learn a whole new system so didn't upgrade. Since I had more time, I inquired about upgrading. I was told that SP+ was the way to go because at anytime you could switch over from plus to the latest version and the monthly fee would go towards that purchase the latest version and any upgrades made along the way. They told me that the upgrade price was the same as two years of plus subscription, so it was a no brainer to go with "plus" and lock in the latest version once I wanted slow down. (I subscribed with SP+ in Jan. 2021.)
I don't know if I missed a memo but SP now does not use your subscription fee towards upgrades. I am disappointed in the lack notification of this change. Did anyone hear about this and I just miss it?

I had purchased 2018. I went on Plus and upgraded to 2020. I quit using Softplan to use some other software and stopped Plus. All good. I have since come back to Softplan and enquired about upgrading and did my Plus payments count towards the upgrade fee. I was told that there is a credit only if I upgrade when I quit Plus. I wasn't told about this and would have upgraded at that time if I had known the rule. Bottom line is they want you to go on subscription and aren't really helping you otherwise.

Even after I stop taking on new work, I will need to access my drawings for my old clients, so at some point I would think we will all need to lock in. Who wants to keep paying for a subscription when you no longer have paying clients. I do drawings for some charities and don't charge which I plan on doing even after I retire completely.
Bottom line is that it is what it is.

Yes, you get the latest version but you don't get to keep it if you quit Plus. You revert to the last version you owned outright. QUITE IMPORTANT.
Yes, that's correct, but I believe that if your monthly payments are equal to or greater than the cost of the latest version, that you are deemed to own that version. At least that is how it was explained to us. Can someone at Softplan please confirm this?

That is not what I was told today from sales. They told me, since the last version I purchased was SP13 I need to pay the full $1995 upgrade to 2022. That was a little bit of a shock. I was specifically told, when I subscribed to "plus" that I could purchase the current version and my monthly fee would go towards it. Same sales person.

Pretty sure that's what I was told and have been under the assumption that was the case.
