I need to get a new laptop, i'm not a tech type. MSI GF63 Intel i5-10500h, 8GB DDR4 Ram   256 GB SSD   NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650   Does this sound like a decent machine for softplan? Or does softplan need more? Im running 2022

That's perfectly adequate for Softplan. It's surprising how low spec you can actually get away with and still run Softplan, and that's far from a low end specification.

My rule of thumb for computers ... buy the best you can afford. The better they are now, the longer they will last.

In 2014 our office bought Toshiba Qosmio's for drafting. They've been replaced long ago, but the current owners stilll run Softplan quite satisfactorily on them.

There are 10 types of people in this world ....... Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I personally would stick with Core i-7, but other than that, should be good.
