You can easity draw the copper cone yourself uing 3D shapes.

I agree with the other comments. Gingerbread trims will be a lot more useful that the forest of useless furniture we keep getting.

It IS possible to draw gingerbread and create 3D symbols, but is a huge task.

The amount of time spent on custom precision scrollwork to create corbels, gable brackets and such is excessive for only being used a few times by all the users combined.  Best thing this user can do is get proficient with Sketchup, Acad Inventor or similar program to create his custom .dwg then import it.

Agree the quantity of 3d symbols we're getting is massive, add more 3d people!, the current few we have are dated by about 15 years.

Exactly!  Had a customer last week who wanted to see his F-150 and boat/trailer to make sure it would fit in the garage.

Too many variables involved.

Imagine the size of the library SoftPlan would need for every truck, or car and boat in existence.

Don't need every truck, car and boat in existence, I would like to be able to show a full-sized pickup truck though.

Find the spec’s on the web and edit one of the truck symbols to the length and width from the web. It works for 2D.

I've done a few trucks from Sketchup symbols ... how do these look?

I've added the symbol and the relevant Sketchup files, you will have to file them accordingly.

Usually the way it works is that you have a 2D symbol for plan view, which goes in the relevant symbol library, and you also have a 3D symbol for model view. The 3D symbol goes in the 3D folder in SP, and when you create the new symbol you need to link the plan view symbol with the model view symbol so it will display properly.

Keith, the F-150 is like a Monster Truck. The dimensions seem to be correct. Did you have any problem?

Keith, when you created the Truck symbols using the Wizard.  How do you get the Textures and Colors on the Trucks?

Also I forgot to thank you for sharing them.

Thanks

Rick
