Would like some feedback on 2022 ray tracing and 3D capabilities.

Upgraded to a new High-end) video card with dx12 and ray tracing capabilities and notice hardly any difference in image quality & lighting output.

I have tried all the different options as well as dx11 vs dx12 and ray tracing output looks worst than textured.

Upgrading to 2022 I was expecting some improvement but looks actually no different than my older version.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Did you try path tracing?

I'm really hoping to see a live link to lumion added at some point like several others like chief and revit have done.  Softplan renderings are great for working with clients to achieve what they are looking for but not quite up there high enough for those of us that sell plans online.

When did chief go live link to Lumion?

I use twin motion and have not had any issues with exporting sp model to sketchup format for an easy transition to TM.

Agree with that. Yes btw I tried the path tracing etc.

Softplan's  3D capabilities and rendering engine has not really changed since 2014 version.!

Check out my website renderings. All my renderings are softplan engine only. No touch ups.

Cheers!

I suggest you read through this first if you haven't already.

I would suggest using a different rendering program. Lumion, Twinmotion, Encore etc. There are many which outperform SP.
