I have a deck with a solid surface. The finish is chosen as plywood. In the plan set, the deck surface has a slight gray shading. What controls this shading? The wall shading is easy as it is controlled in the wall definition but for the life of me, I can't find what controls the deck surface shading.

Okay. Found that. Thanks. Now what controls the degree of shading?

I think it's a yes or no kind of thing but I might be wrong

The degree of shading is controlled by the pen assigned to the Decking. Assign a lighter or darker pen to adjust the shading.

Bill,

Played around with this a bit. The setting seems to apply only to the lines forming the edge of the deck item, not the shading. The 6" wide boards get the colour applied to the edges but the shading stays the same whether I have the pen set to black or gray. Only option which seems to be available is to turn the shading off or on.

Kris you appear to be correct. When I checked it earlier I thought that changing the pen made a difference but maybe not.
