Just started using a new computer.

Changed the system options for characters from Ariel to SPHAND, saved it, closed the drawing and opened a new one and the characters are all back to Ariel.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any comments>

Hey Gerry-

You must make this change in the Drawing Options. Changing the System Options will now update new projects, but not existing projects that were previously created. You will need to do this for every drawing within this project.

Change it in Project options too.

Once you open a project, the CURRENT system options become your project options ... at that point the SYSTEM OPTIONS are irrelevant.

Once you open a drawing, and change from project options to drawing options, the CURRENT project options become your drawing options ... at that point the PROJECT OPTIONS are irrelevant.

You have to make sure you edit the options at the correct level.

Thanks for the responses.

The situation is a little different though.  I've been using SPHAND for the past 17 years with the old computer.  On the new computer I'm not able to get SPHAND to display at all.  I've looked through all the SP directories and I haven't seen a font directory.

It's the Windows font directory. You probably need to import the SP fonts.

Softplan uses the Windows 'font' directory so place all your SP fonts in there

Run SoftPlan Font Installer from Utilities | SoftPlan home design software page.
