First use of keynotes -

Generally speaking, not a very user friendly tool but I have generated a schedule. The problem is that I have 3 keynotes which must be from when I was first fooling around with this tool which I can't delete from the schedule. First issue is that I can't find them. Second issue is that even if I set the schedule to edited, I can't delete the errant keynotes. Changing the schedule to edited doesn't seem to do anything. You can't edit anything on the schedule itself. Any ideas how to find the keynotes I want to delete? I've looked at the floor plans, elevations and sections and no luck so far.

I have had this happen to me as well.  In my case the errant note was on a different drawing.  I believe the keynote schedule will list every keynote in the project.  For example, if you have a keynote for the lower level floor plan that doesn't occur on the main level floor plan, that note will still be listed on the keynote schedule that you generate on the main level plan.

I did look on the other drawings but no luck. In the end, to get the drawings out, I moved the 3 lines to the bottom of the schedule and drew a white box over them. Not elegant but got the job done.

If you have a chance Kris, please send the drawing(s) to technical support so we can take a look.

Thanks.

It would be nice if keynotes were specific to Electrical, Framing, Plumbing, etc., and then specific to each particular drawing.  I have that in another program and you can make keynotes for any particular item you want.  I used them for things like calling out a window that needed to have window fall protection in the "Window Note" Schedule.  I miss that feature in Softplan.

I agree that it would be nice to have added control over Keynotes.

You can add a "Comment" to an individual window on the Common Tab of the window edit menu.  Then add the "Comment" column to your window schedule.
