When I generate a cross section, the terrain doesn't show. I went back to an earlier version of the project and I can get the terrain to show in a cross section. I copied the older terrain into the new file and while the terrain shows quite nicely in 3D, it won't show in a cross section. I've tried turning on everything which I can think of but no luck. I did have one section show the terrain for about a second but it disappeared. Any suggestions ?

In "extraction options" there is a check box for site polygons. Have you tried that?

Yes, that was it. Don't know why I didn't see that. Need to get my glasses prescription checked. Thank you.

Okay, I thought that was it but it wasn't entirely. I have seven section lines. Three go through the building outline and display the terrain in their view. Another one also goes through the building outline but doesn't display the terrain. Another three section lines do not pass through the building outline but are within the site plan. None of them display the terrain. Is this terrain just buggy? I am loath to redraw all the contours. It's a very slopey (is that a word?) site.

Checking the box in one drawing does not automatically check it in all of them.

I checked the box in all drawings. First thing I looked at.

Tech support provided the solution - Extend the section lines beyond the edge of the terrain. Now everything displays. Thank you tech support.
