I have a wall section with a bump out. The wall section is made up of three walls. the ends are 9' tall. The centre section is 2'6" tall and the bottom of the bumped out walls are raised up 2'6". I cannot get the exterior face to close up properly. I have tried cleanup both off and on. Makes no difference. Can this be made to work?

How about if you use 1 main wall and 3 boxout walls, then place a blank opening sized properly H x W x offset properly for your application.  The opening offset for me would be about 18" - 24" for a window seat (for me).  Add a single line in plan view and 'BOOM' now it'll show properly in plan view.  3d view will show properly also.

i'm using a gable with a girder truss so don't need a dropped beam look here.

Jim, I had forgotten about the join tolerance. That fixed it. I did have to adjust the walls a few times but finally it worked. Thanks.

Joseph, Another good solution. Always more than one solution. Not sure if this is a window seat or a window shelf yet. Thanks.

I often use Joe's method. Sometimes the walls decide they want to clean up some odd way, but works most of the time.
