I have a cross section and the stairs show up in the model and annotated views. I created a drawing and the stairs have disappeared. Turned on all visibilities. No luck. Turned on all layers. No luck. If I move my cursor over the stair area, the cursor seems to find hidden lines but I can't select anything (possibly to change the display colour). Stumped.

Do you have a "break" in the stairs? Softplan automatically turns off the "Extract in Model" box when you add a "break". See if it is turned off.

I am assuming these were built using the Stair function and it is not a stair symbol.

Built with stair tool. No break. They show up in the model and annotated views and they show up in the 3D model. Just don't show up when I make a drawing of the section.

They will go on the layer "Stairs" when you save as drawing.  Make sure that layer is on.

All layers are turned on. Just checked again to make sure.

I've looked at the stair definition and can't find "visible in cross section" anywhere. Where is this option?

Sorry, I wasn't at the computer. I thought it was like  symbols.

Too bad it isn't. I've just drawn in some fake stairs using lines for the moment but would still like to solve this.

Sometimes when you draw stairs on the wrong floor, then you hit cleanup - they move to the position they want to be in.  are they above/below your structure?

Stupid questions - Just to be sure ... Was the section line actually throught the stairs? ... Was background checked? ... Have either the stairs or the section line moved on the plan?

Gremlins. Stairs are in the right location. The section line is in the right location. Neither stairs or section line have moved. Background was NOT checked. This is my preference for sections. I generated a new section with background checked. Saved a drawing. Stairs show up. Generated another section with background not checked. Saved a drawing. Stairs showed up. So I guess it's like when you have a computer problem - reboot.

Glad you have it fixed.
