Customer wants a solid railing (wall) that follows the bottom of the stringer and is at railing height with a cap. Would need to add a grab rail to meet code. I faked this with beams

Not sure what you are asking? If it's just adding the grabrail, then add a standard railing, and uncheck the relevant components until ONLY the handrail is left.

I do this with a second handrail.  Create a profile for the wall cap in the Handrail Library.  Just draw the rail on the stairs, set the height, select the cap as the handrail, adjust the rail position as needed, then just adjust the top to the wall in 3D to fit under it.  For the bottom rake of the wall, I would probably just adjust in 3d also.

OK. Somehow I missed that I could rake the bottom of a wall even when there wasnt a roof to fit it to. Thx
