I have a project which is basically complete with the floor framing complete. The client now wants to bump out a portion of the floor. So... explode the floor joists and ring joist, and move and copy joists to frame the bump out. All good. I do not see any way to add a piece to the subfloor. I suppose I could move the floor edge and add a hole to the portion which I don't want moved out. Seems like a backward solution. Is there a way to edit the subfloor edge? I did draw a new section of the subfloor over the bump out but it isn't part of the original subfloor. Any way to join the two into one object?

See Tools > Insert Polygon Edges

That would even work for your ring joist, joist and sill plate polygons as well. No need to explode them.

You could also just erase what you've got and do an auto trace.

INSERT POLYGON EDGES is one of my favourite commands. You can use it to adjust almost anything that has been auto generated.

How did I not know about this?
