Is there a trick to keeping it a certain size... width and height ?

An adjustment somewhere?

Drag it to the size you want - it should stay that way.

that's just it...it doesn't

 

It adjust itself if I add or remove anything and then I drag it so I know where the teeny ,tiny symbols are.  Shut it down...open back up and its narrower.  

Then I drag it again.

Sorry Mike, I've never had that issue. Mine always stay where I leave them.

What version of SoftPLan are you using? I used to have that same problem a  few versions ago, but not with the latest version.
