Sent this to Tech support but wondering if someone else experience these problems before and have solutions.

Two problems on plan included;

  1. The brick and stone texture on the columns has rotated 90 degrees on its own and can’t be corrected even if I check or uncheck the rotate box
  2. As can be seen between Perspective 1 & 2, a ghost banding appear above the garage door which fluctuates as you zoom in and out

Was the column created from a 3DS model or a DWG or did you build it yourself from solids?

I've seen the GHOST banding before. Normally when a wall definition containing multiple exterior finishes, is at a different height than it was originally defined as. The only solution that I've found to reliably work is to copy the wall definition (at a drawing level) and edit the defined height and the relevant material heights and then replace the wall on the plan.

The column was created as a post with the square lost in the Lathe. Been using this for a long time without problems.

Then apologies, I have no idea why the texture decided to rotate itself .....

Here are the solutions;

1- For the columns, had to change the link of the 3D symbol from being linked to the lathe to Shape/cube.dwg instead

2- For the ghost banding, a bit in line as you mentioned Keith, tech support mentioned to change the wall height in the wall definition to the actual wall height of the wall used in the plan. At first this didn't work, but then I noticed that by doing this that the height of the lower banding had changed height. Then realized that the "Fixed" box wasn't checked for that material so it was being pulled thru other materials.

Thanks for the update Yvon.  I like hearing the solutions.  Helps when the same happens to me. :-)
