Good morning -

When I share a project with another user / or have one shared with me, does the user name need to be exact?  For example, I cannot recall if my username is my email, or my username here on the forum.

AND - how long does it typically take for the project to show up in the other person's project list?

Thanks in advance,

not sure, never got specific when typing in their info, make sure the key is exact, make sure you 'ADD USER' after entering data.  once you exit the project it should upload to the cloud and then be available with whatever key you shared with.

it'll show in yours and their opening screen 'softplan projects'  the link icon will show in the cloud column

be vigilant as to whos saving what, the project is now live to be saved by both of you. I usually save out a copy of the project at that point just for my own safety incase things go bad.

User Name is different than username, they are referring to the name of the user rather than anything else.

No, the User Name does not have to be exact, the key number does. You can select File, Save, Upload Project and that will allow it to appear in the additional users Start Page. Exit out of the project before they open it otherwise they'll get a message that it is currently in use by you. Also, I make sure they are not in the program while you are going through this process, this allows the Start Page to have an up-to-date project list upon starting.

And if the other user forgets to log off the project, and you need to get on it and they have gone fishing, you can force them off.

Guess how I know that one. :-)
