Is there a way to start a line or insert an object relative to another location?
Thank you,

Not as such. What are you trying to achieve? Normally in Softplan you draw what you want, and then move it to where you want it. or at least that's the way I work.

You know, I do that all the time, and didn't even consciously realize that was what he was asking ... DUH! Old age strikes again .....

Yvon,
Thanks for getting me started Yvon. Here is how I draw a line relative to any other snap location in the drawing.
1) Using the line command with cursor snap on, place your cursor over a snap-able location.
2) Select the (Home) key then (Esc). WARNING! Using the mouse to select the reference location instead of the (Home) key could introduce error as you may move the cursor slightly without knowing it.
3) Enter the distance and then select the arrow key for the direction you want to start in. Then select the (Home) key again. (Screen will move accordingly if off screen from current position) This will then be the start of the new line.
Hope this helps someone.
