I created templates for my different drawing types. When I use the template it does not show my "Visible" check boxes and also does not show my "Number of Items" check boxes.

 

I have "Drawing Options: Layer Setup" on a short key, when using the short key it does what is stated above.

 

I can however turn on and of layers and see the item count if I click the "Select Active Layer" tab.

 

I would like to be able to see the "Visible" Check boxes and the "Number of Items" Check boxes when in "Drawing options Layer setup" when using a template

 

If someone could let me know if this is possible that would be great!

The Drawing Options > Layer setup, is just to SETUP the layers NOT to manipulate them. There is no way to view "Visible" and "Number of items" from the setup menu.

 

As you say, the easiest way is just click the "Layer" bar ... In fact, I don't think there is any other way to access the layers in the current drawing. Although I've been wrong before ...

I have been able to manipulate the layers from Drawing Options: Layer set up per drawing. It just doesn't work with templates.

 

I see what you are saying though that it is meant for set up.
