This house has a 24" (at least) floor system. The deck is aligned with the top of the floor system. My deck, believe it or not, will not be a 24" floor. 

 

When using "Cover Floor", my board and batten extends below the deck. When "Cover Floor" is not checked, there's of course a void there instead. 

 

I'm familiar with "Fit to Soffit" with tall roof heel applications. 

 

Do I need to create a wall definition where everything but the siding, sheathing, and vapor barrier are set to "fixed" and increase the height?

 

I don't really care for this particular application, but am trying to work on correctness and accuracy of drawings with a view to using SoftList.

I would suggest a wall that is just sheathing and exterior finish to match what is below and offset and fill the space between the top of lower walls and the bottom plate of the upper wall, just like would be built with a 24" truss floor system. Be sure to uncheck clean up and maybe even anchor it. I usually put such parts on a rendering layer so I don't have to see them in plans unless I want that layer on.

If you want to be super technical, set the siding as a transition material so you can adjust it to fit under the deck ledger. Then, maybe you can also add some flashing and housewrap behind the ledger? Or just leave that to the details.
