Is there a way to set the layer visibility in System Options so that when I reset my Drawing Options everything on another layer doesn't cut off?

Thank you,

I believe that you can set default layer visibilities in LAYER SETUP under SYSTEM OPTIONS.

Not sure what you mean by "everything on another layer doesn't cut off". Also, why would you RESET your drawing options in the middle of a drawing?

As a new user making system changes as you learn something new or find something of interest there is a need to change things in system options. Not all of us have been on the program as long as you fella! :) I looked for Visible in System Options - Layers. It is not there, Why would you not have that there so that when you start a new project that the layers would be set?

When you reset the Drawing Options back to system every layer cuts off in the drawing other than the default..

I can see no way of having a certain layers default to visible after doing a reset, as you say all layers default to not visible and only the default layer is on when resetting.  For those of us with 5-10 layers that really isn't much of an issue but I can see it being a pain if you have alot of layers and only one certain ones on.

You don't have to RESET TO SYSTEM just because you find something new or interesting. Make the change in the drawing, and if it works for you, make the same change in the system options once you're comfortable with it.

Well, having booted up a Softplan computer, I've found that once again I was WRONG! Darn, It's beginning to occur too regularly.

As you have surmised you can't set the visibilities in the SYSTEM OPTIONS.

However, if in the drawing you go into the layers menu (by clicking the active layer in the title bar), you can set ALL to visible, by clicking the VISIBLE column header to highlight all the boxes, and check them all together.
